In Full Swing

Hello Dahlings!:)

If you've been following my blog for a while now, then you already know that I love the classy, sophisticated style of the 1950s with their full swingy skirts, off-shoulder dresses and classic red lips (usually on Marilyn Monroe). So, I was pretty excited to actually make an outfit with a 1950s vibe that I paired as I grabbed pieces randomly from my closet.

It's amazing what treasures my mother finds when she goes shopping. She was the one who found and bought the clothing items that I'm wearing for this blog post:) The "skirt" is actually a strapless dress that's been disguised as a skirt. (Shh, tell no one. It's undercover right now.) I tucked and folded my shirt to make it look as if it's been tucked into a skirt and added a belt to complete the outfit.

I normally add a slight tint to my photos to make the appear a bit softer and vintage-y. I don't know if you'll notice but this time, I didn't bother to put any sort of vintage-y tint to my photos and left them to be more vibrant and vivid. I don't really know how I feel about it. Should I have left it to be more dull and less vibrant to match with my blog's color palette and style?

Without further ado, here's the outfit:) [I type this as I'm holding a chocolate wafer stick like how Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's holds her cigarette holder to match my 1950s mood.] :

I received a pair of Swarovski earrings from my Auntie for my 18th birthday gift but I've never used them and just put them as display because they're pretty to look at (AHAHA xD) and as I've mentioned before, I'm not a dangling earrings sort of girl. I saw it and thought that this would be the perfect outfit to put it to use:)

On my lips: NYX retractable lip liner in MPL 12 "Dark Red" and Maybelline COLORsensational lipstick in 645 "Red Revival"

The minimal accessories in action:) I curled my hair towards my face and then brushed them out to go all out with the 1950s effect:)

What do you guys think of the outfit?:)
