Into the woods

It is now absolutely safe to say that the forest is my natural habitat. The evidence of it is apparent from the joy on my face. Look at my pictures. Look at my face.

Whenever I am outdoors in nature, the mystical, fairytale-slash-bohemian atmosphere materialises in my head. What better way is there to match the atmosphere than to dress like a bohemian fairy, especially with this beautiful two-piece set?

With two piece sets, I have yet to find one that has made me want to run over mountains and hills, trip across a rock on the way, and hand over all my money and everything that I have. That is, until I found these matching separates from Forever21. The set has all of my favourite features; the off shoulder top, the skirt with the subtle slit and the tassels. I mean, come on guys, TASSELS!

I kept the outfit simple and paired the co-ordinates with my go-to lace up sandals and a black choker. I finished it off with mosquito repellent and imaginary sparkly fairy dust. Voilà, perfect for strolling about in the woods.

Off I go to explore more forest magic. Thanks for reading!

Do you guys like two-piece sets?

Darkened Stars

Hello Dahlings!:)

It has been a saying and a belief that certain stars have special magical properties. To some, when a star darts through hurriedly, it's the perfect time to make a wish and watch them come true. To others, a star that radiates the brightest is one that will guide you to the way you need to go, whether it'd be out of the lost or towards a new change.

My breezy and easily dressed romper of what reminds me of darkened stars has seen me through many new changes; the reveal of my new teeth as I sat on the dentist chair and had my braces removed, the new haircut I donned as I watched my hairdresser chop off 6 inches of heavy tresses off and the enlargement of photos on this blog post and on many more that will come on my blog after realizing how tiny the photos on past blog posts actually were.

And just like the stars that gleam in the night, my darkened stars have radiated a light, albeit a different way, and collected precious memories through the new changes I believed it guided me to.

Fashion Confession #2: Hanging with a Pin-Up Girl

      Hello again dahlings!:)

Firstly, please excuse the awful pun in my title!xD ahaha

If you already know me in real life, then you must already know how obsessed and how in love I am with old Hollywood bombshells like Audrey Hepburn, Bettie Page and Marilyn Monroe because of the fashion style and makeup looks they had in the 50s. I even had "Old Hollywood/The Oscars" as the theme for my 18th birthday party last year.

For today's look, I decided to channel my inner 50s girl and take on an inspired pin-up girl look. These pictures were my inspiration for the outfit. *Photo taken from Vanity Fair :)

If I'm being honest, I was quite hesitant to post the pictures of me wearing my outfit because they're a little more provocative than the styles I'm used to. When it comes to showing skin, I'm not so much of a cleavage person.(If it happens to be noticeable, it was never intended!^^") I prefer more subtle patterns such as a low back or tiny side cutouts. Nevertheless, doing a completely inspired outfit hopefully excuses me from this rare display of boobage. Haha! Not that I wouldn't wear it, I would. I'll probably pop on something more conservative when going out but at home, it's pure fun not having any boundaries!

For this inspired outfit, I wanted to go all the way from hair to makeup as well. So, there I am carrying out my pin-up curls hairstyle.

I know you can't really tell that my outfit has tiny polka dots all over my two piece suit which is a bummer but it definitely has them!:)
So, here's me attempting to imitate the girl from one of the inspired picturesxD

And finally, the hair and makeup look!:) I loved Audrey Hepburn's look in breakfast at Tiffany's with her flicked eyeliner, full brows and her "my lips but better" lipstick shade that I decided to recreate it in my own way.

What do you guys think?:)
