Blanketed in Pink

Hi Dahlings,

As the temperature gets chillier again in Hong Kong, I've been dreaming of the cliche scenery as the colder weather takes effect. Imagine a warm, cozy ambience, fragrant candles burning, hot chocolate by the fire, a book in hand and in comfortable pajamas wrapped in soft fluffy blankets on the sofa at home.

But, alas, that cannot happen too easily. When you're in a fast-paced city that demands to be alive and bustling with working people and students, there isn't a lot of time for my daydream to materialize. So, I've decided to bring it with me instead. For my cliche scenery "on-the-go", I brought a book in my bag for my commute, a hot chocolate to go whilst wearing a warm comfortable turtleneck and soft socks that feel as comfortable as my pajamas. To top things off, I blanketed myself in my pink trench coat. And voila, I've turned my daydream into reality.

And as Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I think the outfit fits perfectly with the holiday's theme. With my cup of hot chocolate raised high, here's hoping that you all have a Valentine's day as warm as I'm feeling in this outfit or at the very least, without sounding corny, show yourself some love and turn your daydreams into reality.

Off Da Hook with the Boyfriend

Hello Dahlings:)

If there's only one pair of jeans I would wear during the summer, it would most definitely be the boyfriend jeans. (or Captain America's jeans) Its loose and baggy silhouette allows my legs to not feel claustrophobic and constricted. Just add on a loose parody tee from Off Da Hook and it's instantly the epitome of comfort. Not only are their T-shirts thick and incredibly comfortable, they've got playful, almost rebellious words printed on it as if to say "Hey, we're not a million-dollar brand but we've got chic, comfy designs to make up for it." A swipe of rosy cappuccino lips, a statement necklace and killer white heels to finish off the outfit and voila! It looks like I've actually put in a lot of effort dressing up.

Darkened Stars

Hello Dahlings!:)

It has been a saying and a belief that certain stars have special magical properties. To some, when a star darts through hurriedly, it's the perfect time to make a wish and watch them come true. To others, a star that radiates the brightest is one that will guide you to the way you need to go, whether it'd be out of the lost or towards a new change.

My breezy and easily dressed romper of what reminds me of darkened stars has seen me through many new changes; the reveal of my new teeth as I sat on the dentist chair and had my braces removed, the new haircut I donned as I watched my hairdresser chop off 6 inches of heavy tresses off and the enlargement of photos on this blog post and on many more that will come on my blog after realizing how tiny the photos on past blog posts actually were.

And just like the stars that gleam in the night, my darkened stars have radiated a light, albeit a different way, and collected precious memories through the new changes I believed it guided me to.
